Expedition 24/25 Space Station Astronaut Doug Wheelock to Visit NASA's Marshall Center in April

Astronaut Doug Wheelock, who lived and worked nearly six months aboard the International Space Station, will visit NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., April 11. Wheelock launched aboard a Russian Soyuz spacecraft on June 15, 2010, from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, and docked with the space station two days later. For the next 163 days, he served as a flight engineer on Expedition 24 and commander of Expedition 25.
During his mission, Wheelock and his crew members worked on more than 120 microgravity experiments in human research; biology and biotechnology; physical and materials sciences; technology development; and Earth and space sciences. Wheelock returned to Earth aboard a Soyuz on Nov. 25, 2010, landing in Kazakhstan.
