Dale Technical Services receives the Army Aviation Association’s Materiel Readiness Award Print E-mail
Saturday, 13 February 2010
DTS, Inc. recognized for its contribution to Army Aviation at the Joseph P. Cribbins Annual Product Support Symposium in Huntsville (Huntsville, ALA) February 11, 2010Dale Technical Services, Inc. (DTS, Inc.) announced today that it was awarded the Army Aviation Association of America’s (AAAA) “2009 AAAA Army Aviation Materiel Readiness Award” for a contribution by an Industry Team.   “Team VT-Group/Dale Technical Services” is the industry team that won the award. The Team staffs, manages, and operates Army Oil Analysis Program (AOAP) laboratories around the world.   Dale Technical Services operates the CONUS Oil Analysis Labs at Ft. Rucker, Ft. Hood, Ft. Irwin, and Ft. Lewis.   The AOAP program has been critical to the Army’s success since it was initially established in the 1960’s; with the goal of checking equipment condition, in order to detect impending equipment failure, by analyzing oil samples on a routine basis at the Labs.  This capability has become a critical component of a functional Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) program. The AOAP program is a vital maintenance diagnostic tool for the Army, and the program has historically: increased operational readiness, enhanced flight safety, reduced catastrophic failures and maintenance efforts, and saved the Army millions of dollars annually through oil analysis monitoring; according the “Army Logistician”. Mike Dale, president and founder of DTS, said, “I am personally very proud of our team members, and wish to thank them for all the effort and energy they bring to their Labs every day.  I accept this award on their behalf.  The whole DTS team is grateful to AAAA for this recognition of the work that we do to support the Army Aviation community.  I also would like to thank the VT Group for their outstanding working relationship with DTS in this program.   It truly is a partnership, and a real team effort. “ Dale Technical Services also works with the Army in many other areas.  In addition to the AOAP Labs, DTS is the Prime contractor operating the Army Fuel Analysis Laboratory at Ft. Hood, among its other activities. Rob Glasier, vice president of Business Development for DTS said that, “I am extremely proud of the work that DTS is doing to support Army Aviation trough the AOAP Laboratories that we operate.   As an old Army Aviator myself, I know how critical lubricant quality is to the life, and safety, of an aircraft.  We will continue to support Army Aviation through our efforts at the Labs, and we also look forward to expanding our work with the aviation community in the future.”  About Dale Technical Services, Inc.DTS, Inc. is a privately held, Huntsville, AL, chartered, based, and headquartered, American Indian-Owned, Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), which was founded in 1988 as a provider of high-tech solutions to address a wide range of requirements.  DTS is also a successful graduate of the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Certified 8(a) Program.  DTS offers services and capabilities for logistics, programmatics, training and training system development, IT services, technical writing & documentation development, system support, prototype development and fabrication, equipment repair, and other areas; for a wide range of Defense, other Governmental, and Commercial customers.  DTS has government contract vehicles in several areas, which allow its customers to easily do business with the company.  As a Native American business, DTS has the stated goal of combining the work ethic and integrity of our forefathers, with the cutting edge technology and modern methods of today, to create superior products and an enjoyable, creative work environment.  In the words of DTS’ Founder and President, “It is DTS’ mission to supply the best technical support, services and products, in order to provide total customer satisfaction while building awareness of and opportunities for Native Americans." For more information visit http://www.daletechnical.com  Dale Technical Services; DTS, Inc.; and the DTS logo are trademarks of Dale Technical Services, Inc.  All other trademarks or company names are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective entities. For More Information Contact:Rob Glasier
