International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) Overview at UAHuntsville June 21-22, 2010, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. ITAR Overview provides participants with knowledge of a company's responsibilities for exports controlled by the U.S. Department of State's International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). The Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) is charged with controlling the export and temporary import of defense articles and defense services covered by the United States Munitions List (USML). Non-compliance with these export regulations can cost time and money, resulting in significant penalties.
